The Master Mechanech Foundation
The Master Mechanech Foundation was established with one singular mission: to give each and every rebbi and morah the resources and information they need to be as successful as possible in their Avodas Hakodesh. By empowering teachers with the timeless chinuch principles of Chazal and the Gedolim, as detailed in the Master Mechanech book, we aim to make their vital work easier, more fulfilling, and more effective.
At MMF, we believe that the core mission of every mechanech and mechaneches is to instill in their students a love for Hashem, a love for Torah and mitzvos, and a long-term, deep-seated joy in living a Torah life. We aim to equip educators with valuable tools and understanding to build upon existing practices, ensuring that students not only gain knowledge but also develop a genuine love and passion for Torah and Yiddishkeit. The Foundation provides resources and support to help teachers acquire and internalize the methods presented in the Master Mechanech book, fostering a chinuch environment that is effective, enriching, inspiring, and deeply rewarding for the educators themselves.
The Master Mechanech Book
Authored by Rabbi Feivi Arnstein and published by the Foundation, The Master Mechanech serves as a comprehensive roadmap for authentic and successful chinuch according to the wisdom of Chazal and Gedolim throughout the ages. It offers practical strategies designed to support educators and make their teaching experience smoother and more impactful.
The book is the culmination of four years of dedicated research and writing, born from Rabbi Arnstein's extensive experience within the chinuch system and his desire to share foundational principles that can greatly benefit both teachers and students. The Master Mechanech doesn't aim to introduce radical new ideas, but rather to provide valuable insights and principles – the foundational elements that can enhance teaching, making chinuch easier, more effective, and significantly more rewarding. It offers educators a methodology to move beyond merely imparting information to truly impacting their students' lives for the better, fostering a deep and lasting connection to Torah values.
Rabbi Feivi Arnstein
Rabbi Feivi Arnstein brings over twenty years of experience in kiruv, chinuch, and administration to his role as the founder of the Master Mechanech Foundation and author of The Master Mechanech. His journey began with founding and leading a large Kiruv organization in Israel, which successfully connected thousands of young Israelis to their heritage.
Through subsequent involvement with youth at risk, Rabbi Arnstein gained further insights into the dynamics of Jewish education. This experience deepened his commitment to supporting educators within the traditional chinuch system, leading him to shift his focus from Kiruv Rechokim to Kiruv Kerovim. He immersed himself in the chinuch system, serving as both a rebbi and menahel, to gain firsthand appreciation for the challenges and opportunities educators face. He recognized that sharing certain basic, yet essential, chinuch fundamentals passed down by Chazal and the Gedolim could significantly enhance educators' effectiveness and job satisfaction.
Encouraged by Rav Aaron Feldman, shlita, Rabbi Arnstein dedicated four years to researching and writing The Master Mechanech to provide a clear and supportive guide for educators. His vision for successful Jewish education hinges on fostering happiness and enjoyment in school and ensuring the curriculum and teaching methods genuinely interest students, thereby instilling a lifelong love of learning.
